Friday, July 27th, 2001 -
Las Vegas, Nevada - Arrived late the night before but
started bright and early
the next day. Got my bearings straight at the final weigh-ins
and was set to cover this great
event. The venue was the
Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall
at UNLV. Friday night featured
the Fitness two-piece round as
well as the Men's pre-judging.
With the motto of 'ladies first',
left a lot of time for catching
up with old friends and making
new ones (photos to come).
Special thanks to the promoter
and staff of Lindsay Productions
for everything from the great
stage lighting to the shuttle
service to and from the host
hotel.

Speaking
of host hotels, the center of activity was the Alexis Park Resort &
Spa which
not only welcomed the USA's
but a myriad of other conventions and competitions with
the beautiful grounds and
pools being the backdrop for countless photo shoots. A real
oasis in the hustle and bustle
of Las Vegas. Yours truly and a number of others stayed
at the neighboring
St. Tropez All Suite Hotel
with its spacious landscaped
grounds. Thanks to the
management and staff
for an enjoyable stay.
Additional thanks
to the NPC.

ABOUT THESE
PAGES
This will be an evolving project
over an extended period, hence its own section on the
Home Page. Because of the
number of top-notch media outlets covering this, simply
presenting results and a
ton of pictures would be somewhat redundant. Choice photos
from more of the top placers
will eventually be featured, but very dependent on
what's being marketed elsewhere
as I don't want to infringe on those
opportunities. The good folks
at WPW did some amazing work.
Here's a sneak peek at one
of their subjects.

Menu Pages
and links will be updated on the at the links below. I've yet to decide
on all the
themes and will keep a separate
'last updated date' on the Home Page for this section.
The 'Odds & Ends' section
linked from the Home Page may have some photos
every once in a while as
well. |
