2016 BCABBA British Columbia Provincial
Bodybuilding, Fitness, Physique, Figure, & Bikini Championships - Day 2
(Vancouver, B.C. - July 9-10, 2016)
In another big change for the British Columbia Amateur Bodybuilding Association, this prestigious event waa combined with the IFBB
Vancouver Pro show to create a two day competition extravaganza never before seen in this city! Day 2 was highlighted by Bikini,
6 extremely tough open classes and 2 Masters ones. In 'A' Class, Claudia Lopez continues to do well taking second, while Rashelle
Gauthier's detailed look won the day. 'B' Class saw a rematch of the recently held Northern Classic where both Tonya Olson and
Amanda Ancheta vied for the Overall title in different height classes. Tonya fine tuned her look and posing to take first this time!
Zoe Walter's shape continues to impress, taking third. Sandy Sira always shows up dialed in for stage, taking first in 'C' Class.
Three real beauties in 'D' Class taking the top spots, Megan Swaisland shines in her stage presentation taking second while Karly
Ramadeen took first in I think only her second show. Stunning Nikki Korek placed third. 'E' Class featured the very stylish Ashley
Vig taking the top spot, Alicia Smart in second and the very tapered look of Sydney Langston got her third place. So we're left with
Class 'F', either of the top 2 in this reporter's opinion would be the favorite going into overalls. Veteran competitor Tabatha
Kirkegaard improved on a very shapely look last year to a tight, hard to beat combination of poise and muscle shape, taking second.
In first place and eventually taking the overall title was Annette Mountford, flawless in her presentation and just the perfect
combination of size and shape for this category. Look out for both of them at Nationals. Janelle Shelfow, who won her class at the
recently held Northern Classic gave them both a run for their money taking third at Provincials in only her second show! Love the
coordinating suit color for all three!

Men's Physique saw a couple of the largest classes in the show, 4 open ones in all. In the end, a very
improved Benjamin Edu took the overall title. Classic Physique made its debut at this level. Congratulations
to Billy Danh to be the first BC Provincials overall champ in this category!
