2018 NPC Big Sky
Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Missoula, MT - Apr. 21, 2018)
Leading up to the prestigious Emerald Cup are two Ribic Productions events "east of the mountains" held annually, and while we've covered the Empire Classic in Spokane
over the years, this is the first time we've ventured further east. This show did NOT disappoint! From the beautiful venue to the camaraderie between athletes within
and between represented teams, the positive vibe at this show was unrivaled. Starting with the ever popular Bikini division, there were a lot of crossover athletes in
doing multiple classes which made for great head to head "battles" in very close classes. A tough task for the judges but when the dust settled, a super impressive
group of 6 competitors vied for the open overall title. With a "next level" look, Georganna Dees was the unanimous choice, her strongest competition being in her 'D'
Class where Stephanie Caywood placed a close second...basically the winner was poised to take overall.

Other notables included photogenic multiple class winner Shea Westre who was neck and neck in those classes with Brittany Engle, comparisons, etc. are linked from
this report. In a mini comeback from her placing and (from viewing photos) from her show a week earlier, Christina Nelson tweaked her look to rank top 3 at overalls.
Both Sadie Sukut and Anastasiia, E and A class winners respectively, looked effortless in their posing with a modeling background being evident. Rounding out the
open class winners was the tallest competitor, Laura Thompson who also competed in Figure...nicely done on both scores!

Not a large field in Men's Bodybuilding with some crossovers to the Classic Physique category, but a standout in Irie Anderson who also was the sole competitor in
Mixed Pairs with Julie Brown. Turning to Figure, certainly some different body types...shape vs. muscle size and leanness. Ronda Hossfeld had a nice combination of
all of the above, a great choice for the overall title. A number of figure competitors also did Women's Physique, Amie Garner winning both Open and Masters categories.

Aesthetic looks in Men's Classic Physique, Landen Faulk taking overall. Good classes in Men's Physique as well, Cody Gollihugh winning there.
