2016 CBBF National
Bodybuilding, Bikini & Classic Physique Championships - Part 2
(Winnipeg, MB - July 23, 2016)
Part 2 of this report covers all the Bodybuilding Divisions. Starting with Men's Open,
one of the fiercest battles was in the Heavyweight Class where two of the best physiques
went toe to toe, Khaled Chikhaoui and Chris Bumstead. Khaled took the class AND Overalls,
I expect Chris to turn Pro sooner rather than later, joining sister Melissa Bumstead in
the IFBB ranks. Light Heavyweight Champ Pieter Van Der Linde of British Columbia was
awarded the second 'Pro Card', he'd also won Masters Overall earlier in the day.
|
Not a lot of women competitors with the shift and popularity of Women's Physique,
but a strong field none the less. Alberta's Nicki Chartrand won the Overall and
Best Poser Awards.
|
As mentioned above, it was a good day (again) for Pieter Ven Der Linde. Good luck in the IFBB Pro Ranks!
Great physiques in Masters for any age group.
|
Continuing the Alberta domination in Women's Bodybuilding, Pearl Binder took the Overall
Masters title, amazing vascularity!
My sincere thanks to the promoters (Manitoba Bodybuilding Association) and the CBBF for
putting on such a great event and making it such a pleasure to cover. More here and in
other media over the next weeks. For official results please visit the
CBBF website.
