2017 CBBF National
Bodybuilding, Bikini & Classic Physique Championships - Part 1
(Edmonton, AB - July 1, 2017)
Celebrating Canada Day with a bang was this prestigious annual event. Bodybuilding will be covered in a separate report.
Paramount Productions (Promoter John Dirks) is no stranger to Nationals, having put on the CBBF's top level show numerous times in the past.
Great organization and a pleasure to cover! Starting with Open Bikini, 6 tough categories, and the nicely balanced look of
BC competitor Amanda Acheta (Overall Northern Classic winner in 2016) was the judges' choice with Quebec's Angeline Jeanson
who always is in top notch shape, taking home the second IFBB card awarded in the category.

Master's Women's Bikini is always extremely competitive with many of the athletes
doing well in Open Classes too. A good showing for BC with Jolene Sharpe and Annette Colligan
winning 2 of the 4 classes involved. Alberta's Kim Meroniuk took Overall and the IFBB Pro
Card that goes along with it!

Men's Classic Physique saw Ontario's Antwane Hamlett take the Overall title in a tough 'B' Class
which featured Alberta champ Cody Drobot in 2nd Place (deja vu from 2016). More here and in
other media over the next weeks. For ordering stage photos, please contact the Official Photographer David Ford via
