2021 NPC Cascadian Classic
Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Bend, Oregon - June 26, 2021)
First time for us covering this event which is typically held on Memorial Day Weekend, but with reschedulings (hopefully that's a thing of the past) these past couple seasons,
it worked out to be right in between some other notable shows in the region. Promoter Dominic Current pulled out all the stops with a dynamite stage at a beautiful location!
He's co-promoting the upcoming (at the time of this writing) Oregon Open Championships with RK Productions, a veteran team for what promises to be a memorable event as well.
Session 2, the Women's Divisions are featured here. Starting with Bikini, the crossover entries from Novice to Masters to Open made for some interesting results, but just goes
to show that every time you hit the stage, you get a fair shake without any preconceptions so give it your all! This is an individualistic sport where you're your fiercest
competition so that should be kept in mind.

Consistency was the key to measuring success here, and Overall Open winner Crista Jordan brought a balanced look with nice tie-ins, taking True Novice and Novice wins as
well. 'Emmy' Huyen Winzler showed consistency having won her class a week earlier at the Tanji Johnson Classic, a shapely look and great stage presence. A real battle for
placings in some very competitive classes, where for example Katie Lake (Masters Overall) placed ahead of Jasmine Green in that division's 35+ Class whereas with a
different mix of competitors placed a close second to Jasmine in their Open Class. Speaking of consistency, placing second in both her Novice and Open Classes was
Magie Pfeiffer and along with her friend and Wellness Champion Janell Johnson, completed a long prep supporting each other all the way along this journey. The pair
were a definite highlight of our post show shoots, we're certain to hear more from them down the road! Other bikini notables were Courteney Landis and Emma Foster in
Open 'A' Class, great futures ahead of them in the sport!

Figure was dominated by Ivana Jungic. We had seen her first at the Vancouver Open, but this was her first in the Open Division. Nice development throughout combined with
great stage presence. Wellness saw a slight crossover with competitors from Figure and Bikini, but the open class winners were definitely 'Wellness specialists' as far
as their look goes, stunning Janell Johnson took the overall title. As she hones her look, we can easily picture her on a National stage with all eyes drawn to her. You heard it
here first :)
