2024 NPC Cascadian Classic
Wellness Championships
(Redmond, OR - May 25, 2024)
Continuing with our Northwest coverage, the second stop on this road trip took us to Redmond, Oregon for the NPC Cascadian Classic, a long time staple of the Memorial
Day Weekend. Great venue for this event, kudos to Dominic Current and his team for an extremely well run show! Wellness was a particularly competitive category
with a mix of rookie and veteran competitors. Starting off Prejudging was True Novice competitor Emma Strickler (see below)...reminds me of a few other former gymnast type physiques
who can really excel here. Even in her Open Class, garnered a few 1st place votes behind eventual Overall winner Shelby Smith. In fairness, Shelby (who we've photographed
in the past) is on track to tweak her 2024 look over the next couple months...so a warm up show here.

Nicely conditioned Jeeanna Salazar (see below) did well, winning both her Masters and Open Classes. Also looking improved from the Pacific Coast
show was Masters competitor Megan Errend.

A huge thanks to Promoter Dominic Current and his crew. It's a continued privilege to be able to
cover and publicize these shows for decades now. We'll have more on the show here in general as time permits.
