2021 NPC Emerald Cup Figure Championships - Lauren Hadley-Brown (Bellevue, WA - April 23, 2021) Our coverage of competitions extends beyond the stage, whether here or on social media, and Emerald Cup was no different. Our initial post show travels took us to Lacey, WA. where we photographed Figure competitor Lauren Hadley-Brown. A big thanks to West Coast Fitness for hosting us! While Lauren was the sole competitor in her class, she's hardly a 'newbie' and had her sights set on the bigger picture. A second place in the Overall standings, there's images of that round in an earlier posted gallery. She has the size and shape for her division to not be intimidated once she gets to the next level...whether Nationals or beyond. Atypically to many who compete, Lauren didn't have a background of playing sports in high school or college. She was encouraged to compete after seeing a friend do a bikini competition. Her hard work and progress is evident, having started competing in Bikini at the 2014 NPC Northern Classic, winning her class! We covered that show as well. Her first fitness motivation was Andreia Brazier...a great combination of fit, but definitely on the more muscular side. Lauren's first figure competion was 2016 Emerald Cup.
