2009 Empire Classic
(April 25, 2009 - Spokane, WA.)
My first coverage of this event ever, it kinda flew under the radar being so close to
Emerald Cup and sometimes the same weekend as a Canadian show. It's quickly grown from
a high school gym to a very classy convention hall at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino.
A quick look at figure for now - amazing Lauri Faraschuk took a year off to have a baby
and looked very impressive winning the overall. A sincere thanks to the promoters for
accommodating me on such short notice. Their next event here is the
Northwest Night of Champions in late September.

Turning to bodybuilding, Alaska's Molly Waters brought a great package to the
stage. More soon...
