2015 BCABBA Knight of Champions
Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Surrey, B.C. - September 5, 2015)
A great part of the BCABBA 'scene' in BC is that there are a number of new promoters
getting their feet wet so to speak. Such is the case with Tamara Knight, whose long time
involvement in the Association showed with her ability to organize this event, the
volunteers, sponsors...terrific job! While the athlete turnout was about 60 (not totally
surprising when considering there are now 6 shows in the Province in the timespan that
there used to be just 1), the level of competition was quite good.

A lot of new faces, especially in Bikini, plus a few who've really worked to improve their
look from recent shows, Cassidy McKeown and Billy-Jean Nye in Short, Madeline Angus in Tall
are a few from the latter group. Some nice surprises such as Arlene Neufeld and Kristy Jacobs,
both in their first show I believe...comfortable posing onstage, watch for them in the
future too. Overall went to the Medium Class winner, Sheriece Kowch. Small Figure Classes,
a nice debut for Rachel Cornell, she has the structure and all the makings to do well in the
sport. Another advantage of all these late summer/early fall shows is that it gives a
number of competitors extra time to plan their road to Provincials in the new year.

No real 'Monsters' in Men's Bodybuilding, but well conditioned, tight physiques
throughout. Two very graceful Women's Physique competitors in the ever improving
Jill Foley and very lean Rhean Proulx. Guest poser in competition shape was
IFBB Pro Zoa Linsey performing breathtaking routines!
