2020 NPC Legends Classic Bodybuilding, Physique, Wellness, Figure & Bikini Championships (Las Vegas, NV - February 22, 2020) Held in conjunction with the IFBB Bikini Pro show of the same name, this was a National Qualifier event promoted by Jon Lindsay's Muscle Contest as well as Olympia Promoter Tamer El Guindy. While ostensibly there to photograph the Pro show for Muscle Insider, the Amateur event was of interest as well, especially when it came to the Bikini division. Overall Champion Isamar Hansen is no stranger to this website, having taken that title at the NPC Northern Classic show in 2018! Great lines and proportionality to her physique, her "comeback" is on the right track. Of note and scoring a mere 1 point behind in the Overall Round was 'B' Class winner Terence Amurao, sporting muscle size and detail on a very balanced frame. She's a client of Canada's Team Atlas, quickly becoming known for some high achievers in the sport...Jennifer Dorie, Laurelie Chapados plus others who we've witnessed turn Pro in 2019/2020...Canadians, Australians and more! Terence is planning on competing at the upcoming Arnold's Classic in Columbus, Ohio! The hunt for the Pro Card begins. Only 1 competitor in Figure, but Karen Monique represented her division well! The new category for 2020 is Wellness, a fuller look than bikini...like what we see so far. Sparsly participated in at this show, but the potential is definitely there. Back to Bikini, there were a number of standouts in addition to those mentioned above. Dominating both Novice and True Novice was photogenic competitor Leann Velasquez who also placed 2nd in a very tough Open 'B' class. 3rd Placer Alyson Riley was also in the mold of Terence in terms of muscularity. Similarly was Open 'A' Class winner Hong Chen. A huge thanks to the promoters, volunteers and the dedicated competitors who keep this sport growing.
