2019 IFBB Olympia
Bikini Division
(Las Vegas, NV - Sept. 14, 2019)
Only the third year at the Olympia for this reporter, but the first time we've covered Bikini Prejudging in a more 'serious' fashion
rather than a bunch of pics from far. Can't say enough good things about the new set, lighting and just how smoothly everything
proceeded. The athletes were the stars of course, Brazil's Elisa Pecini perfected every little detail in terms of
presentation and physique, it was a close win over always stunning perennial favorite Janet Layug. It's really splitting hairs
at this level with the top competitors, two-time champion Angelica Teixeira didn't quite have the leanness of the top 2, relegated
to the battle for 3rd place.

In that battle for third place was the first of two Canadians represented here, Lauralie Chapados showed why she's consistently
placed at or near the top since turning Pro. An elegant look about her, nice muscle shapes. Narrowly missed the top 3. The
firecracker rounding out the Top 5 was Canada's other entry, Jennifer Dorie...slowly moving up the ranks! Fond memories
of 2018 and the IFBB Vancouver Pro Show, where she and Ashley Kaltwasser
(6th place here) battled it out for first place in one of the
nicest stages and venues for any Bodybuilding/Fitness event. Great sight lines for the audience and terrific lighting! If you've
competed there the last two years (Pro or Amateur)...there's hi-res stage photos to be had lol! Contact @david_twixpix on IG.
