2019 IFBB Olympia A Women's Bodybuilding Posing Experience Presented by Wings of Strength (Las Vegas, NV - Sept. 13, 2019) Among all that was happening at the 2019 Olympia Expo was a gem of an event held following the Friday IFBB prejudging. It featured the 5 top posing routines from the 2019 Rising Phoenix World Championship held a week earlier. Wings of Strength was founded by Jake and Kristal Wood to primarily promote the sport of Women's Bodybuilding at the IFBB Pro League level, especially as fewer and fewer competitions were being held, including the Ms. Olympia. There obviously IS a place in this sport for the extreme in muscularity and this exhibition/competition has reintroduced it to the Olympia stage. 2020 will see the return of the Ms. Olympia, should be a fantastic event! The onstage performances were introduced by video presentations from each of the athletes, as they were, a week earlier in Phoenix. That event was streamed live by Digital Muscle. Included were the rest of the Pro categories, and added to it this year was an NPC sanctioned National Qualifier show, the Arizona Women's Extravaganza. A 100% Women's event, and it being a week out from the Olympia in Vegas, something this reporter is leaning towards covering in person in 2020! To the performers themselves, Canadians were well represented...Nicki Chartrand, Mona Poursaleh and transplanted Canadian Janeen Lankowski...she'd always had beautiful posing routines, remember photographing her over a decade ago! Nicki's fitness inspired routine we first experienced as guest performer at the CPA TNT Muscle Showdown back in June. While still photos can't truly impart the flow of these routines, we've hopefully captured some of the most memorable moments! Thanks.
