2016 Popeye's Fall Classic
Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Vancouver, B.C. - Nov. 12, 2016)
The second year promoted by Tarik Rahiman and his Popeye's crew, a move (going forward
as well) to the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Theatre in downtown Vancouver. Starting with
Bikini, 6 open classes and very deserving top placers. Head and shoulders above the rest
was Sarah Taylor, gradually changing/improving her look for this category over the last
few years. Look out for first time competitor Brittney Ward who placed first in her class.

Figure saw Ruthie Unaegbu win both Open and Masters Division Overalls, she's got the size and shape to fit right in at
higher level shows, great choice by the judges. Of note was Michelle Troll who competed a number of years ago, nice
to see her back in the sport. Also, 17 year old Tessa Barresi with a very symmetrical shape and structure to go
far in the sport, taking 2nd place in her class!

Not too many competitors in Women's Physique but Ruth Saunders definitely stood out, good muscle size and shape. Very large classes in Men's
Physique, details below. The new for 2016 category of Classic Physique has turned out to be a good option for those who want something between
Bodybuilding and Men's Physique, its popularity and growth attests to that. Still, Men's Bodybuilding isn't going away anytime soon, a very
worthy champion in Olasunkanmi Alabboro.
