2017 BCABBA Iron Ore Classic
Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Prince George, B.C. - September 30, 2017)
The third year in a row for promoter Karley Green, similarly in size to 2016.
Prince George always has an enthusiastic crowd particularly cheering on their
local competitors. Speaking of which, Bikini 'A' Class winner Emily Rohlfs had
a comfortable look about her onstage, very photogenic and in a close overall
comparison round with 'B' Class winner Krissy Vann, was the judges' choice to take
the title. While this was Emily's first Canadian show, she's had a little experience
in the US.

Keeping this event "All in the Family", Ryan Olson is married to the above mentioned Emily. He won both the Overall Open Men's Physique and the Masters Class. No
stranger to the stage, Ryan competed in CBBF National events and the confidence showed.

A veteran on the competitive scene, Joelene Merrick brought size and shape improvements to the Figure stage, winning both Open and Masters Overall titles. A couple of
competitors crossed over from Women's Physique (or vice versa), most notably Sarah Henry. Nice stage presence, really looked like she was enjoying herself. Sarah
placed 2nd to Joelene in Open Figure Class 'B'.

With this show being on the smaller side, a number of competitors did 2 or even 3 different divisions. Jason Keller won both Bodybulding and Classic Physique top
spots, a good showing in Men's Physique too.

Women's Physique saw the aforementioned Sarah Henry win both her Open Class and the Best Poser Award. The Overall title
went to Tara Webber of Open Class 'A', a real diamond in the rough with good muscular development throughout. Can definitely
see her doing well in the future at higher level shows as she fine tunes her look.

at the BCABBA website. With the support of sponsors such as The Brink Group
and others, hoping this show grows in the future...the venue is great and the local hospitality is second to none!
