2023 NPC Tanji Johnson Classic Bikini Championships (Tacoma, WA. - June 24, 2023) Back in Tacoma, Washington for this show...the venue connected to the host hotel, The Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Starting with Bikini, it was clear that Team Next Level competitors were here to make a serious impact on the sport in the region. Bree Burton who we first saw on stage in 2021 at this same event, brought a lean and tight balanced look to take the Open Overall title, it's been a steady climb as she heads into taking on USA's in Vegas. Hot on her heels was teammate Chassity Stanisich (pictured below), always a head turner and as she further grows into the division, someone to definitely look out for, placed 1st in her Open Class here! Good progress since her debut last year, she had earlier this season taken Open Overall at the NPC Emerald Cup Naturals. A third teammate, Kelsey Zhou took Open 'C' Class, a Novice/True Novice standout as well. Of note was Open 'D' Class Winner Adrienne Blythe-Clark (pictured below), also a Novice/True Novice competitor...winning her classes there, an outstanding performance! She also tested the Wellness category waters (True Novice), more in that report. Similarly, Nikki Dumanovsky from Oregon did both categories, a former gymnast with an athletic and very photogenic look...watch for her as she progresses in the sport! Masters classes certainly saw some quality physiques. Trisha Sarvela always brings a tight look to the stage and it was good to see the return of Katie Lake as well!
