2015 NPC Vancouver USA Natural Championships
Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Vancouver, WA - Apr. 11, 2015)
Back to start off another year of Northwest competitions is this annual event. The additional significance
this year is the changing of the guard vis-a-vis promoters. Wade Lowery of Shadow Productions was handed
the reins by retiring promoter Frank Bohm who grew this and other events in the region from the mid '90s.
Both he and original promoter Louie Benedict (1985) were honored onstage at finals and prejudging respectively.

Turning to the competition itself, it was a banner day for defending Women's Physique Class Champion Jasmine
Basso, taking the open win in that category as well as Overall Figure wins in both open and masters! At this
level of competition, the lines can be blurred somewhat among the categories, but there's no denying how
well structured her form is for any of the disciplines. Figure 'A' Class winner Niki Goodridge also competed
in bikini, 5th in a class of 9 so another example of a crossover. In 'B' Class, it was close between Jessa
Loudon and Carmen Lonborg for the top two, but look out for Amanda Ramirez in the future...proportions built
for the sport!

Bikini always features the largest and most competitive classes. 'A' Class Open champion Giani Martin
had the balanced look the judges were looking for to take the overall title. Melissa Vandall
(trained by Team Gro's Inna Wyatt) brought a boisterous cheering section along, and they got their money's worth as she shone in
Class 'F' and placed 2nd in the overall comparison rankings. 'B' Class saw Madeline Gregg barely edge
out 'RAB Fitness' team member Allie Hibbs, expect great things from her in the future. 'Team O' (Overby)
representative Tasha Ohm rocked Class 'C' with style, Vanessa Santana of 'Team Dreamquest' a close 2nd.
Ashley Arguello took 'D' Class and Zoë Feuerstein brought her high energy stage presence to unanimously
win 'E' Class!
Just space left for the thank yous, first time promoter Wade Lowery more than
exceeded expectations. Both he and his team ran the show like clockwork along
with one of the best judging panels in the NPC. With the support of the Craigs
of Emerald Cup fame and the other promoters in the region, this event deserves
to grow going forward, and as a tested event it's pretty unique. Next year is
planned for April 2, 2016 so mark your calendars!
