2021 NPC Washington Ironman Bikini Championships - Gloria Andrea (Shelton, WA - October 2, 2021) Our coverage of competitions extends beyond the stage, whether here or on social media, and NPC Washington Ironman was no different. Things worked out nicely the following day for a gym shoot with Gloria. In her own words... "I started my fitness journey back in 2018 initially to shed some pounds, quickly realized I had bigger problems than just weight. I was completely out of shape and could barely do a mile on treadmill walking at fast paced, I was in pain, out of breath and that’s when my mindset changed from just wanting to lose weight to wanting to gain physical and mental strength. In 2019 I attended my first bodybuilding show with a friend , and immediately fell in love, and redirected my focus to strength training and bodybuilding. My love turned into passion and I started researching and studying everything fitness and nutrition. I decided to do my first show in April 2021, and with the help of my friend and trainer, we started bikini prep in August of 2021. Soon after, we added a prep coach and a posing coach to assist me with the overall preparation. As a team, we decided that Ironman would be the best show for me to start competing. On October 2nd 2021, I competed against some amazing women and won Bikini Masters 35 and over, True Novice, Open and Overall. I am still overwhelmed with joy! I am excited to continue with my journey, and in process I would like to share my passion with the world. I believe that fitness is the best instrument in life!"
