2021 NPC Washington State Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure, Wellness & Bikini Championships (Auburn, WA - July 17, 2021) It's always a pleasure to cover this event. Promoter Jeremy Williams is truly one of the most dedicated people promoting the sport in the Pacific Northwest. He continues to put out 'Northwest Fitness Magazine', a great resource for the Industry. Back to the show...quality physiques throughout. Bikini saw Tanji Johnson Classic Overall winner Kimberly Lee further tweak her look for this show, a well deserved overall title! Of note was photogenic Samantha Bartley who had competed at Emerald Cup and most recently at a National show, getting a taste (and fitting in well) of next level competition. Also of note was Novice Overall winner Samantha Lacanlale, continuing to improve...a well conditioned physique. Chandelle Camidge is one to look out for in the future...and was great to see Karie Ryan back onstage in both Bikini and Wellness! Speaking of Wellness (and Figure) and sporting unreal proportionality and an overall impressive physique was Shannon Standish Williams, she should do VERY well at the next level. Long time competitor Lisa Leonard was another standout doing both disciplines. Crossing over to WPD was Figure competitor Tamara Farber, who had a pretty successful day. Lots of muscle on display in WPD with Rochelle Murfitt following Tamara and Heidi Lundgren placing 3rd. Heidi had first graced this website back in 2000 and for this reporter, a special highlight of this event. While perhaps not the result she was hoping for here, she is headed to Masters Nationals the following week as of this writing, so we'll see what happens there! We'll have more on Heidi soon.
