Miss Desert Sun calendar model search attracted many
of the figure competitors. I missed the preliminaries
but the top 12 were out on the stage during the
bodybuilding finals. They were looking for a
different look than 'figure' but three of my faves,
Nina, Fawnia and Cara Welborn all made it to the
finals - maybe there's hope that an athletic physique
will be appreciated by the mainstream as much as
the fans, supporters and promoters of the sport!
