2010 BSN Emerald Cup
Inna Ableman - Figure ( 5'2" to 5'3" )
Seems to be getting to be a habit of mine where I'm unable to cover the Vancouver, USA
show in late March, check out the photos (thanks JW), and manage to find that truly
outstanding physique who'll be competing at Emerald Cup just around the corner. Last
year it was Ryan Everson (Behr) and in 2010, Inna Ableman. Inna is originally from Russia. At the age of
6 she started dance and circus training. Performances were
long and meticulously prepared and it instilled an appreciation for the beauty of the human form. Having
only been in America for 3 years, it's been quite an adjustment with a new language, culture, traditions,
friends but at the same time trying not to lose her identity. Homesickness and sadness set in but she managed to
restore herself sprititually and physically by going to the gym. With the encouragement of her friend and
trainer Ty McAllister, she worked on her weak points and sculpted her physique, deciding to enter the Northwest's
in late 2009. The stage lights, beautiful suits...it was an amazing feeling. Inna took 2nd Place at that show
and felt rewarded for all her work. She's since won her class at both the 2010 Vancouver Naturals and Emerald
Cup. Happy with her physique so far and based on the reaction of friends and spectators, certainly made a
positive impression on them! Preparation for Nationals is next, and maybe some warmup shows along the way - we'll see :-)
Perfect look for the sport with a super tapered physique.
She'd done a little bit of modeling in the past, seems comfortable in front of the camera
so hopefully more of that in the future. She's multitalented too, designing and putting together
her competition suits.
