2018 NPC Northern Classic
Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Federal Way, WA - Sept. 29, 2018)
Getting the Northwest Fall competition season off to a great start was Elite Productions NPC Northern Classic. A new, state of the art venue for the region, conveniently
located within the SeaTac corridor. Starting with Bikini, we last saw Isamar Hansen at the Vancouver USA Naturals back in March, a respectable 5th Place there, had
size and shape but wasn't quite where she wanted to be...fast foward 6 months to a mean, lean look combined with confindence and style onstage and you have the recipe for a stellar
day. Overall Open Champion after winning a very large Open 'B' Class as well as 1st Place Novice, expect more from Isamar down the road. Also making her presence
felt in the category was stunning Talla Imani, added muscle since she last competed, a nice curvaceous look for the sport. Other class winners were Caitlin Waugh, a
natural onstage and photogenic Kelsey Hettinger. The judges rewarded a good balanced combination of muscular development and stage presence, the essence of this
category.

Turning to Figure, with a look worthy of the National Stage, Idaho's Olivia Ottinger brought a beautiful X-frame to the game, definitely a name to note
moving forward. Full muscle shapes and the afore mentioned proportionality, envisioning her further dialed in as she moves through the ranks against
tougher competition will be interesting to observe. An impromptu photoshoot before finals to round out our coverage, watch for updates. There was some crossovers between
categories at this show for the women, mostly between Figure and Women's Physique, Sarah Oase did well in both. Competitors came from far and wide,
notably Tina Veldkamp, Andrea Westman and Tatiana Mason from Alaska...the first two being part of Shawn and Cinzia Clapp's 907 Muscle Girls Team,
always a pleasure having them come down to the Lower 48 and of course on those occasions when we've gone north.

Not a large turnout in Bodybuilding as more competitors are tending to go with Classic Physique or Men's Physique, but a solid win for Christoper Bickley.

Chase Bosley took on a number of classes, Classic Physique got him an Overall title! Men's Physique Overall winner was Matthew Taylor.

There's always uncertainty and some growing pains associated with location moves, but handled quite well by promoters Chris Algeo and Michele Mayberry. Thanks as
always for making the show such a joy to cover. Official results and further information
can be found at northernclassic.net.
More will be added to this page as time permits.
