2018 IFBB Vancouver Pro Show - Figure Division
In one of the larger classes at this competition, 21 very toned Figure Pros vied for the oppoortunity to win or gather points to get them closer to that Olympia qualification. This reporter vividly remembers Serbia's Bojana Vasiljevic competing at Emerald Cup in 2014 which included an IFBB Pro Figure show, and marveled at her great symmetry. She's since steadily improved on that look to become a top contender every time she steps on stage. In a split decision, equally formidable competitor Michele Da Silva Pinto of Brazil placed 2nd. Wide lats, some of the best shoulder caps in the business and very impressibe quads for sure! The USA's Chelsea Larson placed 3rd, tiny waist and sweeping quads. Six Canadians led by Melissa Bumstead followed, of note were 8th placer Maggie Watson who won her pro card at the recently held IFBB Toronto Pro Qualifier and stunning Catherine Lavoie in only her second Pro show placing a very respectable 9th! Additionally, there was s good representation of those featured on this website in the past such as Canadians Jeni Sperling, Maria Sharp, Martina Yabekova, Rae Healey and Mary Valid... plus Americans Inna Wyatt and Darcy DeFrees. With the exception of a photo of the top 3, we've chosen to go with some "funner" shots on this page, it's all about getting hair out of the way when doing those quarter turns!
